subs went out?

okay my brother runs dual 12" JBL GT1200s on a crunch usa amp. im not sure about the specs. hes been running it for 3+ years with no problems. But a couple of days ago, the subs just stopped working. I checked the amp, the power light was on. It's got gauges that work accordingly to the beat of the song, (yeah) and those dont work anymore. Any ideas what it could be? Its not the fuses either.

mayb u should uhh. test each speaker another amp or uhh test the amp with a different speaker. u no the simple stuff
