Subs underpowered?

Just checking if my subs are being underpowered. System is in my sig. I've got 2 of these http://dls.se/en/car/prod.html?produkt=en_138 running off a Hifonics Brutus 1600W (black edition, older) I have them wired like this http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/2DVC_2-ohm_mono.jpg

If I get a nicer amp, how much difference will I notice if any?

no that amp is supposed to put out 1100 at two ohm so your good if you set it up correctly.

So the subs run at 500 RMS, x2 is 1000, and on paper the amp puts out a little over 1000. So I guess I am alright. But I think the amp is overrated, the new Hifonics' arent.
