Subs stinking

Ok well ever since I put more power to my 12s when I bump them hard they start to smell, is this something I should be concerned about? When I feel them there now hot or anything.

Cookin Coils... If you feel the cone of your sub does it get hot after a while? I thinks its time to move up to some different subs.

you feeling the coil? obviously they are getting warm. they aren't fucking air fresheners.. if they smell somethings wrong.. thats why febreeze doesn't make em..

Clipping causes a lot of heat very fast. Make sure gains are set properly and that bass boost is not way up.

Possibly the coils simply cannot handle the power you are giving them.
