subs making a popping sound?

hey guys whats up i just got a new amp its a pioneer gm d8400m amp and i hooked it up to my 2 L7 4ohm 10's in a ported box. well its kinda hard to explain but they sound like they are popping.

does anyone know what this is or how to fix it? thanks a bunch.

sounds like they are blown/ bottoming out....whats ur gain at>

umm like 3.5v? on the gain setting there is a position called normal its on that

Check it with a dmm to see if u have set the gain right. And turn off any equalizer on ur head unit and bass boost off.

.... the gain is a knob that you turn... none of mine are labeled with anything so there shouldnt be a normal setting?

the pink arrow is pointing on the spot where it says normal but im not sure but i should have all my bass setting on my hu off?

sounds like the tuning of the box is way wrong or sub is damaged.

its kinda like a cracking sound like my subs didnt do this until i got the bigger amp.
