hi i got 2 jl w3's hooked up to a alpine amp and all of a sudden they just both stopped working. i got a custom enclosure so its hard to get back to where the wires are but do u guys got any clue to what it mite be. i wanna be a little educated b4 i go back there and start toyin with shit.

ya we need to know if the amps on...
if the amps on check to make sure ur speaker wires didn't get pulled out.

and u didnt smell any burning or hear any weird noises right?
i cant see the amp so guess i gotta open everything up, and i havent smelled anything burning. i dont think ne of the wires got pulled out. i had it put it by the most reputable company in illinois for car audio so i dont think the wires would be the problem. but i guess they might of messed up. thx for the help guys im gonna open it up when i get home.ill let u no what i see

yeah first check if the amp lights on. also check ur fuses...check the fuse up by the battery and check the fuse in the amp. if u see any cracking/brown or blackness/or if the metal is broken inside then that would be the problem

well i opened it up and heres what i found. i have no power to the amp at all. all the fuses are intact. both in the front of the car and in the back of the amp. there all fine. the power cable to the battery is connected fine. i didnt check the grounded cable though so it mite be that. but i dont no. what to you guys think?

the box doesnt move around its in there. i dont no where to find the ground. what does it look like
The ground is one of 3 power wires coming from the amp, it's going to be the shortest one and leading to the chassis.

Here's what I think, even though a fuse may "look okay", it could still be blown or bad. It happends to me from time to time.
