Subs in a build for a friend.. suggestions

im doing a build for a friend who is really fond of the type r series... so he wants a pair, i told him alright found best prices...etc. problem is, he can't afford an amp to power them, so im lookin for a pair of 12's that have about the same output but only have an rms of 300-400 for ~250-300

any help is greatly appreciated

my girlfriend has 3 type r 10's. shes only giving them like 200 each, if that, and they sound very nice.

300 each might not be bad, or just get 1 12" and give it all the power....

you're not going to get much "SPL" out of 400wrms. best bet is to get the 2 12" type r's and save up $ for an amp.

there are also a lot of amps that put out 1500~ at 1/2 ohm(s) for sale here on the classifieds.

so now hes hooked on diamond d3's and we found a great deal. so any comments on diamond audio woofers are appreciated. thanks -Jimmy

Look at kicker CompVr they are 400 Rms and can get "loud" on that wattage. Pretty cheap as well.

Have not expereinced D3 though plenty here have...
