subs hx2 vs new solo classic

i am putting a pair in a 99 dodge ram into a small .81 cubic foot box on a jbl 1201.1 at 2ohm which pair would be better, mounting depth cant be more then 6.5

do u mean the kicker solo classics? if so i ran those for about a month and they sound good and get loud for such a small box. had 2 12s in 1.8 ish box off of a orion 2500d@4ohms

yes the solo classics, i found a store with some hx2 punches, had some pheonix gold subs in the box and they didnt sound good and terrible popping, put them in my ported box and they sounded phenomenal so i need 2 new subs for this small box.

I thought the HX2 was power and HE2 was punch. I have heard a quartet of sealed hx2 10"s in a truck and they were **** loud.

gl that box is too small for any of them imo

i remember the other thread now that u said rsdc subs.

solo over the hx2 because of the space. Good luck, imo you need a different box design.

mbquart rlp304 shallows 90 each plus shipping

2 year factory warranty but they only take 300-500 rms and ur box is exact to specs for them btw .............

ask around for shallows not standard subs

i personally would rather do 8's over shallow mounts. there are some trucks that 8's are even tough to fit though. i did 2 12 inch pioneer shallow mounts behind the rear seat of a club cab chevy. ported them in 1.4 cubes at 35hz. really had to stuff them in. pretty good sounding 140$. there are shallow subs that require stupidly large boxes, so pay attention to required enclosure size, especially with cheaper subs.
