subs help

My friend is looking for a new set of subs, he has about 300-400 to play with. His setup is mainly going for SPL, but does want a decent SQ. The amp can push 1000wrms @ 2ohm & is 1 ohm stable. Any suggestions on which subs to lean to?

what does it do at 1 ohm power output should increase pretty dramatically

maybe some Fi Q, or a single Fi Q 18"

Kicker CVX single 12" or 15"

just some easy options

How about a IDmax the 12" is about 400 for plenty of output with insane SQ
