Subs cutting out!!

Hey all,

I have a 18'' Fi BL, powered by a Hifonics Bxi1606D...It worked alright for about a week, but then one day it just cut out...the sub completely stopped working...when I touched the sub with the music still on, i could feel that there was something there, but it was very very faint, and the sub was not hitting.

So I thought maybe I burned up the cheap *** 12(or 14, can't remember) gauge speaker wire I had it hooked up to...so I replaced it with some stinger 10 gauge...I just hooked it back up and it seemed to be working fine, however, it cut out again.

This time I left it hooked up and it started working for a few minutes, then it stopped, and it keeps repeating that. So what could be the problem? Could it be the RCA's? I have some Rockford Fosgate RCA's hooked up to it, that were sitting around for about a year before I put them in....any input?

I have some problems with my amp cutting out too. The RCA inputs are messed up, and they become looser over time from the bass. I can jiggle the RCA's and notice that they're pretty loose. Check and see if the RCAs are loose, and if you can get better output while wiggling them.

K i will try that in the morning...is there any way to fix that other than sending it in to sonicelectronix.com(where i got it from, not sure what they warranty plan is though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif)?

You could so the cheap fix and use Aluminum foil on the RCA tips. This is the very cheap, but not a good fix. You could also try some new RCAs.
