Subs cut out...then play again...whats could it be?

Yesterday I was driving around and then out of no where my subs just cut out. I was like wtf... I lowered the volume and like 5 seconds later raised the volume and they were playing but just not as loud what could it be?

Pretty sure it isn't voltage drops because im only powering about 2,000rms and have two optima yellow tops (starter and for the system) and a stock 130amp alt but it took it fine before with just the alternator and stock battery...im going to hook up the stinger voltage meter later to see

I had everything set fine...HU at 40/52...DMM read 44 (running at 1 ohm)...rca's are fine...sub level on the HU is 10/14...not sure what it could be...my guess is a fuse

Fuse. I had the same problem before. Check fuse and holder.

Two 15" L7s for now:crap: ...going to change all of that during the summer, hopefully.
Nobody came through on a pair of MTs and I didn't want to go with one solo x if everybody is telling me the MTs are better.
