sub wiring to box

ok well i saw the thread aboput the dual voice coil wiring and thought i should ask.

I have my cvr 12 in the box wired just like i have my amp wired ... i made one speaker wire go to both positives and one speaker wire go to both negatives ... is anything wrong here??? should i change it??

i dont know how to diagram it, but they are dual 2 ohm kicker cvr's, my amp is a directed 1100d, and it is bridged. On my amp I have one wire in the positive side and one wire in the negative side. the wire in the positive side is run to the positives on opposite sides of the box, the wire on the negative side is run the the negatives on opposite sides of the box.

my sub is wired the same way. I have one wire going from the positive to both positive voice coils and one wire going from thenegative to both negative voice coils .... what is this wired at??? .5 ohms???

so you have 2 DVC subs bridged into your amp. If this is right then you are running at .5 OHMs. It should be fine if your amp is made to/ can handle that load.

yea, im not sure if it is made for .5 ohms or not... its an older directed 1100d, it hasnt gone into protect mode yet, the gain is only about halfway though.

if it doent go into protect mode or get real hot I wouldn't worry about it too much. I would check it at random times though to make sure it isn't getting too hot.
