Sub wiring reccommendations?

I just got a JL AUDIO 250/1 mono-Channel Class-D 250W amplifier and a 10w3 v3 sub from a friend and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for wiring, a bass controller, and a line ouput converter (stock head unit) for my 2007 scion tc? Thanks
that amp is a little shy on power for the sub, but it will do long as you dont have the 8 ohm modle. now raptor makes a nice line output converter (we call em LOCs) that has a volume control on it, to act as a remote gain or sub volume, or you can buy/find a remote bass gain that will work with the JL amp and just us a standard LOC. as for amp wiring kit, get a 4 awg one. the amp has 4awg inputs, and when you realize that 250 watts just isnt enough, youll have wiring to suport 1000watts

Thank you very much for the quick response, I know very little about this stuff. So I'll just get any raptor loc and be alright? Also, do I need to be careful with the a specific bass controller or does it matter as long as it is compatible with jl amps? thanks again!
