Sub/port placement in an Explorer??

Hey all, I just got a new ride, well new to me... and I am getting ready to design my box, I am using a single custom 10" sub with 1500 watts to it, and I was wondering if the Explorer had any sweet spots for ports/subs? I was thinking sub up port back on the driver side, but I would like to hear from those of you that have tried it! I want to get the most out of it that I can at the headrest... I will likely do a Kerfed box for the look and a little better performance too!

will you be competing or is this just for daily? In my escape I did sub up, port back on the passenger side with a single 15 on 3k and was very happy

sub up port back, seems like the way to go in suv's. In my big astro I get the most boost from sub back port back

OK Thanks! Its just for fun, but I want the most I can get out of this little guy! I like impressing with the smaller subs! Its a little harder to do!

Build your self a cube and run external aero ports. Sub on one side and port(s) on another. Then you can twist and turn it to find the sweet spot. In my Explorer it's louder with the box in the back passenger corner, sub up, port to the driver's side.

My explorer was best with sub up and port back on driver side. worked best in my setup with slot ports. fluke?

2000 Ford Explorer..

Had Sub up / port back on drivers side. Standard slot port.
