Sub Box question

I am looking at buying a dc xl 15 d1coils and I have designed a box for this sub. I was told by a member on here this is around the size they have in their grand prix. Let me know if this looks right

what power are you running? seems a bit small for a xl 15.. a lvl4 15 would be nice. my lvl4 is being ran off 1200rms and its in a box @ 3.8cubes at 29hz.

port area per foot is short too i'd aim for 13-16in for a l port.

32hz may lack a little on the lows, but its loud. more spl-ish.

XL's work nice in smaller boxes like that, so long as you have the power to dump on them to make up for the lack of efficiency with the smaller box.

I should be good on the power. I built a test box out of plywood to be sure it will fit and fit like a glove and I still have a good amount of trunk space left. I ordered my sub last night and should have it sometime next week. DC xl 15 d1 this thing is a beast.

Looks good. I'd add some bracing since you're dealing with a pretty hefty setup. What are you going to cover it with?

I havent decided yet. May sand it, bondo and paint it to match my car and thought about having it covered in a white pleather or a tan to match my leather seats. Im gonna do 2 floating amp racks off the back of the box and cover them in the same. i will post more pics as I go.
