I have found that my 1997 Civic gets the loudest by facing the sub towards the back in the trunk and folding one of the back seats down.

Of course, you have to experiment with YOUR vehicle to see what sounds best to you.

for me its teh back seat facing forward. My trunk is quiet for some reason, I think that my trunk is leaking like crazy tho. maybe Ill get someone to sit on the trunk next time i put it in there. Then again my car isnt even with me for another 3 weeks so Ill have to wait to see.

Kind of a pointless poll. It all depends on the vehicle. Some cars sound better with the box facing the back of the trunk, some better with it facing the seats, or the rear deck lid. While others are in hatchbacks or SUV's and it's all different.
