sub/box noise

i got a rattle noise from my subs when i installed them. what could be causing it? the subs rec sealed box size is 1.25cfperchamber and i already have a box with 1cu per chamber which i put them in, could that be what is causing it? yes a badly built box with air leaks or the sub not being screwed down all the way might cause some rattles.
