sub box build question help please

Ive been given these dimensions to build & am gonner give it a go today.

"Try this, this is with 3/4"MDF, .3^3ft for sub and bracing displacement. 17"H x 32"W x 16.5"D, 4.104^3ft gross vol. Slot port, 15.5" x 2" x 32.8"long@28Hz. After all displacement, 3.145^3ft net vol. This will do the job very well. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

What im having trouble with on here is the slot port part of it. How can the length be 32.8in long when the sub box width is 32in long ?

Ive worked this out for cutting the wood to be this:

32in x 16.5in TOP & BOTTOM

32in x 17in BACK & FRONT

17in x 16.5in SIDES unless im wrong but I dont think i am

also the slot port says 15.5 x 2 32.8in long, how do I Include this in the design. I know I must cut the front panel where the sub goes a bit shorter but am not sure when I get to this part.

CAN SOME 1 HELP ME PLEASE.

u will have to turn the port at a 90 degree angle inside the box. if u look above thread list in this section there are box plans in the sticky list u can look through to see how it is done

^^^not sure about turning the port to an angle....

Personally, I don't like the design of that enclosure. I'm sorta in a rush right now but if I wasn't, I'd go ahead and design you one and make it very simple for you. I can do so tonight but you wanna do it today. If you haven't started on it today, remind me tonight and I'll shoot you a design.

This is to exactly the specs you gave, I didn't verify the tuning or anything:

Just did the calculations on that box, since I'm bored, and I wouldn't build that....

not enough port area for the size of the box, plus whoever did the calculation's math was a tad off, which would put the tuning lower than your 28hz.
