I have a kicker power kit. Are you supposed to take the gold ring things out of the distro block and fuse assembly before connecting the wires? I noticed that the gold things are too small to fit the entire wire without trimming some of it.

are they reducers? if so, then yes remove them......they are there so the kit can be used for multiple size wire kits
