stupid question

so im starting to try to figure out where to but my subs in my 07 tundra doublecab. The space is limited so i decided to go with 2 tc sounds 1000 8". Well finding space for them is difficult, and ive been sweating trying to find enough airspace for them. My friend said since they are going in a ported box and sharing the same airspace that i only am gonna need 1.5 cubic feet instead of 3 cubic feet ( 1.5 for each, which i think is maximum spec for a ported box )

is he totally wrong?

Suppose he's right... then you could put 47 of them in there and still just need the 1.5 cubes...

Enclosure volume requirements is cumulative per speaker used, obviously. Your friend doesn't know the absolute first thing about building a speaker box.

I would put those 2 8's in a 1.5 cube net box tuned to around 36hz. But thats just me.

thats kidna where i was going with it, but he kept saying when you are useing two subs as small as mine are it doesnt matter that much.

I would put those 2 8's in a 1.5 cube net box tuned to around 36hz. But thats just me.

i was thinking more around 32hz, is there a benifit for tuneing at 36hz with these?
