this is probley going to be a stupid question to you all but how do you get a amp at 1ohm? ohms is the only thing i dont understand when it comes to amps

Its not a stupid question! If you dont know, just ask...We all where there at one point!

If the amp handles the 1ohm you would have to wire the subs down to 1 ohm. Whatever the amp handles then you can just wire the subs to whatever ohms you like....Click below

lower the ohm the more power, although the more current the amp will draw, so its a trade situation

also the lower the ohm the amp might be unstable

It all depends what the amp is rated...Some amps do (example) 1000w@1ohm, 500@2ohm etc....Check the specs on the amp....

Some amps are stable at 1ohm and even lower....

yeah, sometimes you will want a two ohm sub, or wire it to 1 ohm, or 4 ohms. it just all depends on your amp

ight i understand now. my amp is only 2ohms stable and thats what its at right now. im going to get 2 12"solo barics probley with a KX1200.1 for the amp. does this sound like a good combo?

oh yea, i dont think i would try that if i got an expensive or a really good one in the fear that i would destroy it, thatd make me mad, lol
