Stupid Question -- PRE OUTS

Well im quite into car audio, but not really into technical aspects, I just know waht I like...

Anyways...

I have a new IVA-D310, going to install tonight... But I just noticed (dont even know why I didnt check) but it only have 2v pre-outs... my current deck has 4v pre-outs...

What should I expect in terms of adjusting things, and sound quality loss?

You'll need to re-adjust the gain on any amps you have. You'll probably have to run the gains higher than they were before is all. I doubt you'd experience any loss in quality.

not necessarily any loss in quality

electrical noise will have an easier time bleeding into your signal

your gains will need to be increased, so depending on the quality of the preamp in your amp, there may be added noise

and also, if it's 2 different manufacturers, variances in the way they measure their specs could rule out any problems at all, the actual real-world voltages may a lot more similar than the #'s would lead you to think.
