Stupid question. Can I use a 2ch amp to power 1 DVC sub?

Nvm I'm a retard. I knew there was an easier way to do this. D2 sub = 1ohm or 4ohm load. The amp puts out 520x1 bridged at 4ohm. I was over thinking today.

New set up will be 800.2 on the sub, 800.2 on new 2ohm OEMs (200x2 hah), 800.4 on the tweeters with 2 channels open for future 3-way front stage. Going IB soon. Just picked up a JVC KD-AR8500 to play with. 9835, AX5600, Type-X comps and 2 E8s are going into my dad's F150 Supercab.

I'm picking up a US Amps xt800.2 and it's rated at 200x2 @ 2ohms. I want to use it to power my RL-p IB, and in my head send 200w to each coil. If I use set my sub to "mono" on my HU, it should be okay right? Or is this a no-no?...
yes you can wire a 2 channel amp to power 1 dvc sub. i did this before and used that setup for about 2 years and it never blew.

be sure that your signal going to the left and right inputs are, as much as possible, identical (like sending a mono signal).

btw, you can also use 2 mono amps to power a single dvc sub. it's a little harder (especially the settings and matching the signal) but it has been done before.
