stuck coil need help!!

Ok guys I just got my second set of 2005 re xxx 15's from a friend of mine when he bought them he reconed them for spl coils to handle 2k a piece and put a stetsome 14k on them lol, anyways two of them are what i believe to be blown one I pulled apart and had horrible coil rub so it was bad but the other is stuck and I man I mean stuck I cant even push it down or up so my question is how the hell do I remove this bad coil this will be my first time reconing a sub so any advice is appreciated. These subs some consider to be collectable as well as myself so I dont want to mess them up, but I need to do it myself I have done refoams before just not a recone and I feel I should learn and do it myself. Not sure if I want to do that because shipping would be insane I think these weighed more than my hdc3 18's they are heavy and like I said I want to do it myself

and as far as removing the stuck coil cut it up until you can get some visegrips on the coil and tug then remove all the coil wire that will be stuck in there!

I didn't know uf brute force was the way to go but from what i'm hearing you pretty much have to unless someone has a different method....

only method I have ever found after a coil unravels in the gap.

ok thanks for the response I am gong to go take a try at it now I have to recone all four just to match and thats gonna **** but at least I'll know how to do it from now on lol

Well I got it pulled and it was just from the last guy using too much glue I guess, coil looks pretty good
