umm i got a rl-p and an av12 motor size doesnt look anything alike i think the av12 is the tc2+ not the tc9, the av12 is a very well low end subs sx seems to be an spl sub... probly would compare to the ava more, but does the ava come with a 3year warranty and i perfer the look of the aluminum cone, and it also only needs like 500w

They're based on the TC9 motor, so they compare closely to the RL-p 12/15...

No they aren't. The AVs were based on the TC2+ when they were built by TC, but they aren't built by TC anymore.

These aren't Ascendant products...this was a company that produced drivers based off TC products, but they sold out a while ago. As Warbleed said, apparently they've found a new supplier and are producing drivers again. The older drivers got very high regards from the HT community.

If they kept the same aesthetics, they look awfully close to the aluminum-coned Soundsplinter drivers, except with a 12-spoke basket. A lot like my TC prototype that I posted pics of a while back.

I've never heard the rl-i but i got ane rl-p but havnt got to hear it yet, but i think it would be compared to the rl-p better than to the rl-i

old thread.......but its uses the TC 2+ motor the same that the rl-i uses so its pretty close to the rl-i. i dont think they even use the tc motors anymore so i dont know what they are

i plan on testing out my av12 and rlp in 2.2cubes with tuning from 28-32hz today with an orion 600d to power it, but i would def say the av12 compares to the rlp and not the rl-i i got tuned to 28hz right now and it has rediculous output with a 28hz tone with only 600w on it

different motor tho.....the rl-p uses the tc 9 not the tc 2+. but maybe stryke made there own motor thats comparable to the tc9.........i dont know. ill wait tell someone smart comes in here
