I just got this e-mail today from john, these are some **** good woofers

Hello,

You had requested to be put on the list to be notified once our AV

woofers were in stock again. We finally have these available. Due to a

mismatch at the plate shop you can now get AV woofers at a special price

for a limited time. The T-yokes have a clear zinc plating and top

plates have a yellow zing. This makes absolutely no difference for anything

other than cosmetics. They still come with the same 3 yr warranty,

parameters are identical, and they will function the same as with the

matched plating. Frames are not black instead of the previous silver.

The regular price for the AV12 is $175 with the current special price

of $150.

The regular price for the AV15 is $205 with the current special price

of $180.

We have only a limited supply of these at the special prices so they

won't last long. Please contact us at 920-469-9198 or http://www.aespeakers.com

to order. Click the store link in the main page. Our site is

currently under construction but our online store is functional.

If you have any questions on AV woofers, need cabinet plans, or need

cabinets built, please don't hesitate to contact us.

John

You know what grandmasta can do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/moon.gif.9d317aec3339ffe7fde0638df52c628a.gif is kiss that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif No offense //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

very closely, or somewhat closely?
They use the same basic motor. There can be (are) variations of the entire sub, but they are "based" off of the same design. So, they aren't the exact same thing (as the very different T/S specs will show you), but offspring of the same momma //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

would some1 like to put some more input on this?

how would it compare to a sx15?

i was planning on getting a AA ava15 (if still in stock) or sx15 end of next month, but now that this came into play...
