stronger than mdf?

the reason for a stronger material is because of mounting depth. i need to make the walls of the box as thin as possible without losing strength.

x2 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif the problem with particle board or high density particle board is if it gets wet it'll swell. As mentioned earlier baltic birch is the strongest. MDF is cheaper though and works just as well.
