this is my old woofer. this thing cant handle 2500w RMS, so dont even start with that. gains set basically as low as theyd go with my SAZ3000D and the coils would start to stink after 5 mins of play time not even full tilt.

this is a semi new recone. i got it a little warm and it had some smell to it. OPs a good friend of mine, he bought it off me and we figured wed just give it a lot less power and see what it does. its getting 1200w right now and weve yet to smell anything from it. gain is set a little less than half way if i remember correctly on his brutus. the amp still has a good amount of power behind it. but then again, we havent had that much play time on the thing considering he doesnt really use the jeep this is in.

ive talked to wayne at CV and he told me he feels the woofer was highly overated as well. the RMS should be closer to 1500w, not the 2500w that was published. maybe 3k+ on burps, but nowhere near that for daily if you plan on listening to more than 1 or 2 songs at a moderate volume.

dont give me this bullshit that this thing can take 3 grand easily, because it cant. and OPs electrical isnt set up for 3kw. hes fine where he is and the thing sounds beast.

johnny, if your lookinig for another amp and woofer, your gunna need to upgrade the electrical first. you seen for yourself what happens when this thing gets 2500w. the coils burn up.

CV supposed to have a new stroker pro out this fall, at least thats waht wayne told me. keep an eye out on ebay and see if you can get another one of these 15"s for a good deal. if not, hold out and see what this new ones all about even though its probably gunna be crazy expensive and the TS parameters probably wont be the same, so you probably wont wanna run a new model and old model together.

dont get me wrong, this thing gets loud for a single 15" and sounds **** good too. it jsut cant handle the power it says it can. i think it sounds really good on the 1200 or so watts its getting right now.

once he gets this jeep on the road we can take it for a ride and listen to some music the way its supposed to be listened to (not sitting in his driveway with his neighbors calling the cops) and well see how it does. he still has the loudest system in town the way it is now. at least now that im gone
