Street beat question.

I goto a lot of shows and seldom see many people break 150dbs in Street Beat...occasionally someone does....You probally would have a weak chance at big shows...but at smaller shows and if your setup is right you should be competitive...I myself just go for the fun of it and could care less if I win or loose ...I just go because I enjoy the events //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
If he just wanted to compete locally I would tell him to just have at it, but world finals is a whole different ball game. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I want to say it is easier, but I never competed in it. It seems like it is the most "newb" friendly of all the competitions.
Bassrace is DEFINITELY the most n00b friendly. You can literally roll up with any type of system and be competitive in bassrace. No rules about batteries, amp size, fuses, subs size/quantity, etc.

Plus its very exciting to compete in too. More exciting than streetbeat IMO.

**** straight i am doing bassrace that way i can still compete in sq as well and do good on bass race and you adjust your volume when doing bassrace? like i have a screen display with a conrtoller hooked up to my amp that i can control my gain with and i also have a volume sub level conrtol and i was wanting to know if i compete in lets say a 130-139 class and i am hitting 140 for the first 20 sec can i adjust my setting down to lower the db level?

On the qualify round you can go down IIRC.

But after qualify, you cannot exceed 139.9 at all

I only seen it one time, but I am sure that is how it works.

You are correct. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

In qualifying you can "bust out" and turn it back down, but once you are in eliminations you CANNOT go above your class score.
