Street beat question.

I am going to be competing in street beat for usaci and I have 3 '12 and one 2200 rms amp going to it. I read the rules but I am wandering about the classes.

SB3 16 Points Maximum 12” Woofer = 4 Points Each

So i should get 12 points, but is the like a 3 sub class or is everyone in the same class no matter how many subs and how many amps you have?

Also is it possible to run a street beat setup and a sq setup in the same box if they were both ported?

Each size sub is given a certain point value. Add up your total points and it puts you in a certain class.

Most commonly people will run the most they can for a certain class. SB1= 2 10's, SB3=4 12's, etc.

There are no power or battery limits. It's only based off of the size and quantity of subs.

ok i understand the battery and power limits but since i am going to have 3 12's thats puts me in the sb3 class which is with 4'12s so should i be worried with the other peoples 4 12's vs my 3 12's? I can not add another sub. I am trying to keep a 4ohm load with my amp i have so would it be super stupid to build another box totally for the 4th subs or put in in the box with the other 3 and run a different amp off of it?

Well, unless you plan on doing a 155+ for 30 seconds then I wouldn't be too worried about adding another sub or even placing in the top 5. From what I've read in your sig, you're just going for fun and not trying to win. No offense.

Streetbeat is gonna be LOUD at finals. I predict that EVERY class is gonna be over a 155.

That is why is you are poor, you bass race.

I am poor when it comes to car audio...but I can practice.

Here's the rule,

If you are poor, but have a termlab....bass race > street beat...imo

well for a sq competition i wanted to compete but since i have a huge dent in my car i am never going to fix i will try my hardest to get to go to world finals in street beat and rank high. In street beat i will most likely go to win. So How much power are these ppl usally putting out at street beat? I mean i can always get another zapco 9.0 run the each 9.0 at a 6ohm load on 2 subs and get 1600rms from each amp or i can run 3 subs and get 2200 rms at a 4ohm load which is where my amp puts out best. which is why i am asking you should i get a 4th sub? I am thinking i should stick with the 3 sub setup just asking you the question to learn more.

yea i guess your right ill just stick to sq and do street beat and spl for fun. Thx for the info guys i knew i wouldn't really be able to do something awesome untill i get a Tahoe. or something really big.

I like bass race better because it works with people with low powered audio systems

You can have 1 12" and 1000w and compete with someone with 100 12s and 100,000w in 129.9. It's all about control and song selection moreso than how much money/time you have.

whats do you do in bass race?

nvm i read it.

never knew that was wat bass race was i though it was something totally different i think i will compete in that then thx for the tip off.

I goto a lot of shows and seldom see many people break 150dbs in Street Beat...occasionally someone does....You probally would have a weak chance at big shows...but at smaller shows and if your setup is right you should be competitive...I myself just go for the fun of it and could care less if I win or loose ...I just go because I enjoy the events //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
