strapping aq2200d's

i have a single audiopulse axis 15 hooked to a aq2200d. it is not pushing the axis enough so how would the axis like a aq2200d on each coil at 2ohms? thanks

I think it's be a little too much for it if it's a DD. The 2200 should be pushing it pretty good by itself. I think you'd be better off with the AQ3500 rather than two 2200s.

its for daily. one aq2200d is not pushing the sub enough.

You need a final load of 2 ohms, if you can get a final 2 ohm load, then yes you can strap the amps..

well its a dual 2 ohm sub so if i hook one amp per coil that should be a final 2 ohm load right?

No, dual 2 ohm will give you a final load of 1 or 4.

Look into an amp that will do more power @ 1 ohm.. (AQ 3500).

Don't get me wrong, you can do 1 amp per coil, but I wouldn't recommend it.

i emailed thilo with this question and he said strapping the two aq2200ds to that sub shouldn't be a problem so i think im going to go for it.

I don't see that sub living on 4k+ for daily....

you MIGHT get away with the 4k for daily if you really know what youre doing.

if i did strap those amps i would be setting the gain conservatively.
