so im strapping my amps and want to make sure i got the sub wiring right.

its a dvc1ohm sub and im wanting a 2ohm final load at the amps.

series paralell and then each amp will see 1 ohm.

ps..

+ of 1 coil wired with - of 2nd coil

and then wire of the remaining - of 1 coil and + of 2nd coil to amps...

Yes.

Next question is while setting the gain on the master amp, do I set it according to the 1ohm load on that amp or to the overall load of both amps(2ohms)

so i hooked it up like that and measured and its only getting 2k watts instead of the 4k. is it supposed to be like this?

umm thats not right i am pretty sure they strap just like sundown amps..let me do some research real quick

go to page 7 there should still strap the same way..

basically run a wire from the negative on the master to the neg. on the slave then from the slave run a wire from the + to the - on the sub and + from master to + on the sub i would run 2 wires from the master to the slaves -'s to strap them if i were you..dont forget to run the jumper rcas

also all setting will be controlled from the master amp only you can set all settings to 0 on the slave...

When I strap my amps I put the positive speaker wire to the positive on the master amp, Negative speaker wire on the positive of the slave amp, Jumper the negative of the amps with 8 gauge. Then I use the phone cable that came with them to connect each in the back. Only the master gets a set of rca's.

That should solve your problem now sell them and get a second saz3k and strap them..

yeah i ran the jumper rcas and everything. i just didnt know about running the + on sub to - on amp. just didnt seem right to me. ill go try it out and see if that works. if not, ill just run 1 coil to one amp and another coil to the other
