strapped or unstrapped (aq3500d)

guys im gettin my second aq3500 today and im wondering whether i should run them strapped at 1ohm or unstrapped at .5ohm a piece. i heard several times gained matched seperate is much more efficient but idk personally. is this true? if it is ill just do that.

im running two db drive pd 2000s unstrapped gain matched. i was also told that strapping puts both amps at risk if they decide to fail. i haven been able to clamp them and shit but they seems to be working out fine gain matched

so strapped at 1 ohm? you have two dual 1's?

i would strap them. i dont see how it would make a difference in efficiency... depends on applications though obviously.

ive heard the same. i would assume its true but i have no real info to back that statement up so idk. im running my amps seperate and having no problems so if im getting better efficiency then woot ha if not then no big deal

I have seen strapping lead to major issues. I would not strap them.....

run them strapped, so you can control them via the master only. Ran mine that way all last year with no issues.

better to contol the level via the RCA's vs the bass knob per DJ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Get a Y splitter and contol it via the HU or get a Pac-1 inline line level adjuster for $20...

im runnin it off a memphis line driver cuz my hu has no sub out. so strapped is fine at 1 ohm? im runnin these on two copper hdc3's so ill prolly not clip the amps at all.

strapped at .5 ohm a piece and ........ its awesome! way way way louder but a lil too much power. voltage is around 12.5 ish. no magic smoke but i love the amps strapped. electrical is just 1 kinetik 1800 and 2 enersafe hx400's and a stock alt in a yukon xl denali.
