i think that one anmp is fried. sounds liek a power/ground connection problem. u should have tired to hookk up that us acoustics amp directly to your car through your system see if it didt he same thing. well soemthings not righ tobbvoiusly. what idd you do to figure it out. let us know

4gauge from batt means you need a final 4 gauge ground too, not an 8 gauge.

8 guage into the amp, 8 guage out. There is nothing wrong with that. The only reason he ran 4ga from the battery was for future upgrades. If he was running a ground distribution block then it would make sense to run a 4ga from that block to the ground point but if each amp has its own direct connection to ground then there is no need for it to be any larger than the positive wire for that amp. Hopefully he did upgrade the under-hood ground strap when he ran the bigger power wire.
