strange noice coming from subs

hello,

i recently got 2 alpine type r's professionally installed in my trunk with a kicker 1000.1 mono amp. It was blasting nd bumping for about 2 weeks then i realized that they needed to be mounted because they moved around too much. I got them mounted and they started to make a strange noise. I took it to the installed nd they "fixed" it by fixing the ground substance or whatever....I turned the car on and the noise is still there.

I took out the "phone line wire" from the amp and it still makes the noise, the installer said it was prolly something wrong with the amp but im not too sure...

the subs make a loud croaking nd buzzing sound even when i have them set at 0. And if i crank them, the amp will cut out nd a red light will show up

can anyone help diagnose the problem?

thanks

Could be a number of things

Best case scenario, your RCA's from amp to headunit just went bad

My best guess, however, would be either an oscillating mosfet or bad RCA input on your amp. If you bought the amp there it should be under warranty?

yea it is under warranty but i am just trying to isolate the problem so i dnt send the amp back and there is nothing wrong. Any one else think it is the amp?

This was installed by a pro at Tweeter in NJ
