ok i just got my car back today from getting the clutch replaced and i had to fix my radio cause they screwed with it and got it working and i went to get use to the new clutch and my amp and everything was running fine and then when i pulled into my drive way the subs stopped and i went and looked it was in proctection and no matter what i have tried i can't figure out what it is....any one have any ideas?

thxs,

ps its one of those Virtual sound 300.1 mono channel amp from wal mart....i reall don't care that is a cheap amp it gets what i want done

how does getting ur clutch changed mess up your radio??? thats a little weird.... but newayz, check your ground and make sure your fuse in your power wire isn't fried or any fuses on the amp.....i'v had amps to where the remote wire would make the protection light turn on even if the power wire wasn't hooked up

It could just be that the timing was coincidental, not that they actually messed with anything...

It could be a number of things. Number one would be to check the ground, make sure it is tightly bolted and on a bare metal surface. You could also have just fried the amp, it is a cheap amp and its common for people to over-drive small amplifiers in hopes of more output... So possibly you had the volume too high and clipped the amp to doom.

im pretty sure the ground is good but im unsure of my power wire fuse cause its one of the being 100A fuse and the fuse it blue and i can't see thought it and my amp fuse is fine.....how hope i didn't screw up my amp by clipping it

if anybody else you know has an amp in their car, just get em to hook it up and check it in their car, if it will work in there then it should work in your car, but check your power wire fuse first

if that happens then your fuse is fine, its carring current through the fuse block......... what was the amp hooked to ? whats the amps specs ? and was it hot when it stopped ? cause when amps blow a circuit you will smell a nasty smell and the only thing it will do is either smoke a lil bit or go into protection
