Stop rear view mirror rattle (not shake, but the noise)

I just gotta get rid of the noise my rear view mirror makes its annoying the crap out of me.

any other way then taking it off, lol.

Eh. sucks for my truck. the mirror is too loose I guess so any halfway high sub freq always makes the mirror end up pointing down lol.

get a new mirror that has a stronger pivot point.

or maybe glue it into a fixed position?

maybe make a new "elbow" to hold it in place?

or just take it off.

tighten the screw up that holds it onto the window. there is a little metal piece glued to the window and there is a screw that holds the mirror to this piece. tighten this screw. on most cars it is a phillips-head, but on GM cars it is a torx. T20 i believe

some silicone would probably help.
