Stock HU with pioneer speakers?

I'm sure this is discussed somewhere on here but tried searching and came up with nothing. A friend has a set of pioneer speakers (just the basic ones from best buy i'm guessing) she wants me to help her put in her 03 civic. Just wondering if she's better off with her stock ones or not?

They should sound better than the stock speakers. However, they will never sound that much better unless they get more power via external amp or aftermarket head unit.
