I know ive posted about this a couple times but i think i got all the info i need to get a straight answer.

I run 2 Type R 12's in a Ported box, 4.02 Cubes tuned to 32hz. THey are powered off a Hifonics BXi 2010d on a stock electrical. I set the gains at around 1400 Rms but the subs' cone still get warm on some songs. I dont smell anything at all so im hoping its not too bad. I working on getting my 1/0 ordered so i can do my Big 3 and upgrade my nasty 4 gauge to 1/0. I was thinking today though, is it possible im clipping the amp because its not getting a clean draw of power since its stock electrical and causing the cones to get warm? and do you think getting the big 3 done and upgrading my wires would fix that?? you're running 700w to a type-r, theyre gonna get warm. And for 1400w rms i would def get 1/0 wire and do the big 3.

1/0 will definitely help. I noticed a difference going from 4g to 1/0 on 1000rms.
