need to know some good amps that would do 1000-1500 on stock system with new battery up front. the car is a 08 galant and the subs i think he has are cvx12-4 in probox. price he is going for is around 450.

What type of battery, how big is your alternator? With more info on your stock I could give you a list of amps...

he has stock alternator the battery is a yellow top my friend is scared to put a different alt on cause of warranty on the car. but like i told him if he wants to bump then do it right

Your friend needs to read up on the Magnuson-Moss Act!

If you get down to it, the dealership will generally void the warranty on the factory alternator anyhow stating that the load of the aftermarket audio system caused it to fail. Good luck in proving them wrong on that one!

yea i told him it would already be to late when he takes the radio out and rerun wire in the engine area
