does anyone here have stock electrical who are running around 1500 RMS? If so how is your voltage holding up?

My alt is 95 amps but it seems to only want to power around 1000 or so watts before my battery starts losing voltage and amps start shutting off. It's pissing me off.

Ive got 3000+ rms on my 110 amp alt

I do however have a second "cheap" underhood battery though, and the Big 3 in 2/0 thick *** copper wire

On full tilt I dont go below 12.3-.4, if I play it for 15+ min full tilt Ive seen it dip into the high 11's, but nothing thats gonna shut an amp down.

DO you not have the big 3? Your battery might not be in the best working condition

my batter has been drained literally at least a dozen times since i got my car a year ago. My battery does however read 12.7v with the car off. I have no idea if it is in good working condition tbh.

I know nothing about the big 3, lol. I did put a 4 gauge ground from from the battery to the frame though. That's it.

I can't get my subs loud because every time i turn the gain up to a decent level my voltage drops below 11. And then the amps turn off. I know my amp is capable of pushing these subs alot harder, i just can't get it to work without significant voltage loss.

Search the big 3, and do it for sure, all you need to add onto your battery ground, is a ground from the engine block, and a wire from your alts + directly to your battereies +

Id suggest going to a local welding shop and picking up 1/0 welding copper wire and doing all 3 wires. Should cost you more than $35 with terminals.

Then if the voltage drops are still bad, Id say a high big reserve battery upfront is instore.

More than likely it sounds like youre gonna need to upgrade your front battery though (if you can budget $125)

Im running 2400W with just a C&D battery in the back. Stock battery and no big 3. If im bumpin at idle my alt guage goes down alot.

ive got stock electrical on about 1500rms, 105amp stock alt, with stock battery.. only did big three.. voltage usualy never dips down below 13.4 while driving and 12.9@ idle

If you do the big 3 with 1/0g wire, what size fuse should you use?
140 amp alt
250/300a is fine.

That's my big 3 upgrade. Scroll down, there's pics. 1/0 wire, no fuse between alt and battery (there's no where the wire can move). I figured I'd give you an idea about how to do it. By the way, I'm pulling about 1000 rms between my 2 amps and my voltage still drops at idle (about 14.1 to 12.9). My alt is 105 amp, but i'm sure it's on it's last leg. I've got an Optima D34/78 up front, nothing in back. My voltage only drops a little, from about 14.1 to maybe 13.8 while driving.
