I own a 2003 Buck Lesabre. I was just wondering which would be better. The stock CD player or an Alpine CDA-9856. I have ordered that CD player already except i havnt ordered the front panle adjustments and some other things for it.

If your wondering what my system is i have 2 MTX Audio Thunder5500 - 300W RMS on each My amp is an Infinity 600 Watt Class D

Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm going to start right off and give you the exact opposite advice everyone else will give you: unless there's some feature you want that you can only get in aftermarket, stick with the stock radio in that car.

Your factory radio is a bear to replace, because it uses a ribbon cable and a set of contacts for the connections instead of a harness and plug. You can get an adapting harness that fits the contact bar, but there are some vehicle functions that run through the radio, like warning chimes and some vehicle interface functions. There's no harness available to relocate the radio in this vehicle; removing it means losing the functions. It's possible to use an LOC for the amp and subs and get a good sound.

Alright, Thanks I appreciate your advice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif That was one thing that i was thinking. Since I myself has no idea how to put a head unit in or anything. I just have a good friend that knows alot about this stuff. He also told me i should prob use the stock one but i wasnt to sure. OK Thanks again. now i just have to figure out what adapters i need and where to get them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

theres an in-line adpater that uses the speakers leads, and converts them into an rca- connection that you then lead to your amps. anywhere that installs should have them, between 20-30$

Would that be the right adaptor that i would need to instal subs?
I do now know if that is the specific one you need but if you get confirmation that it is let me know and I have that exact LOC (matter of fact I have three of them) in my box of surplus wiring that I'll happily sell you for $20/shipped as opposed to the $30 + shipping pricetag that CarDomain has on it.
