stock cd changer to after market head unit?

My stepdad has a 01 ford f150 lariat edition and mentioned he wished his radio had a usb port on it. So i was thinking id buy and install him an aftermarket one. But he said he really didnt want to loose his 6 cd disc changer in the center console that came with this model of truck. Is there a way for me to splice the changer into an aux or something so he wont have to loose it? His birthday is friday and i wanted to get it done before then so please help me out guys. Thanks
