Thats not how it works. It can be made to produce more current but its only going to do so at a high RPM.. Its also not going to help it control the heat build up.

My stock one does 120a. And I was told by a company hat it could be rewound to do 260a. For $385. Is that good?

No.. Spend a bit more and get a real 270

Ya I guess its a newer engine so the alt mount or different from the previous years.

No, you will only be wasting money, mite as well spend the money on a new HO alt....it might work for awhile, but you will end up only replacing eventually it neways!

They would have to replace all the factory parts in order for it to last. It would be best just to buy a brand new alt.
