Sticky Request: The real reason subs are "broken in"

I see noticable changes in the sound of headphones after a number of hours of listening, I would think it be reasonable that woofers behave similarly.

 
Most average guys asking about "break in" and so forth aren't running DD 9500's or TC 4HPs.

These are examples on an extreme end of the spectrum.

Average woofers/mids aren't going to have any of these effects.

noticed a lil change as mine broke in some. the upper range bass notes werent as percise but it got just a hir louder, probly due to the efficency......................but then again its a 4hp

lil woofers with single spiders probly wont hear much a differance at all....

Or you think you do because you expect it. Heaphones barely move enough for anything to loosen up.
