Sticky Paper in AMP?

****** FTW!
I have a Profile CA600M Amp, tonight i decided to open it up. and when i opened it up, i found a sticky peice of paper inside the amp. I was covering the colorful wounded wire that was in a circle, and the gold connectors thats for the ground, power and remote. I will upload pics to show what im talking about.

I was wondering if i should keep that in there or to remove it?

heres some pics i took..

LOL, looks like it could have been there from production maybe? They could have forgotten to take it out?

At the same time it resembles that paper they pack with auto parts, to prevent the parts from corroding/rusting during shipment/storage.

It could be to prevent things from touching the casing but then it should be stuck to the case/cover side. What side of the paper was sticky?

the paper.. possibly an assembly line error or a protective piece to prevent arcing.. used to be VERY popular in older electronics.. the white stuff is an anti-dialectric between two metals... basically helps the trnsfr of 'energy' (or heat in this case) between the two pieces of metal.. ( A diaelctric is basically a material that has insulating properties) it looks like they just got a lil generous when they were gooping it on.. it should be okay to wipe off, DON't remove the component and take it all off... it really is there for a reason.

its there for that reason, to prevent any touching. it could get dented and push down there.they put that same paper in strips along amps where the bottom piece mounts to the main frame. just a buffer between metals, not an error. no big deal, just leave it there.

hey i have a question
whats the deal with the things on the side of the circuit board that have white sticky shit all over them and are bolted to the metal frame? is this how the amp disperses heat?
Those things you're looking at are the output transistors, and yeah...that white goopy stuff improves heat transfer to the heatsink.

Heat = enemy of solid state components.

AKa Thermal Paste or TIM, Thermal Interface Material. A silicon based goop is what you've got - same stuff they use between PC Processors and their heatsinks. As stated, all it does is provide a better joint between the component and the aluminum of the chassis, which is the heatsink.

I use "Arctic Silver III", a compound of very finely pulverized silver.
