I bought a amp and the crossover knob is broken and in order to set it I have to remove the plate and turn it from the backside. My question is if I use the cc1 on a test bench setting using a 80hz tone will it work accurately as opposed to being in my car

Will the head unit bypass the crossover on the amp though? For instance if the crossover on the amp is set around 60 but I need it at 80

Also if I do use the head unit should the crossover on the amp be all the way up or all the way down

I turn my low pass all the way up on my amp which still doesn't turn it off completely as the slope is still there so I set my deck to 80hz and -12db slope. Amp is also -12db so it should be like using a -24db slope I think.

I wish sub amps had a low pass on/off switch like multi channel amps seem to have but they don't.
Why is that?

If it's multi channel just turn the switch to Full and set the deck to whatever xover point and slope you want

It's a taramps bass 15k mono so no hp lp filter just frequency crossover
