i dont think there is any sub that can handle that power all day long. in his videos it seems like he beat on them pretty hard

Well of course not,but install install install is what it comes down too,u dont need that much power for em daily.3-4k+ daily all day something is gonna happen machanicly,BTL seem to be ok thermally,I have just seen brokin spyders and tinsel leads...Enduser fault I would think.

Meade also changed amps to RF T4Ks at the same time he changed to the BTLs so there wasn't an even comparison between the MTs and BTLs. But yes he said he got louder.

Oh ya in the last 10 months, ive broken 1 tinsel and a few weeks ago i broke the cone clean off the coil but the coil was in good shape, the sub just broke //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I do have some marks on my spiders from the super thick tinsels rubbing on it. The mark doesnt even scratch the 2nd of 3 spiders so its no problem at all.

My subs are rated at 2,000 RMS and are each getting more then double that. I cant complain //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Not bad for the HUNDREDS of demos ive given plus the daily abuse i put on them (BTL's).
