stetsom 7kd vulcan

this is like the 3rd post on these amps on this forum, the search button would be effiecent here, but also on the termpro forum you would find out alot as well, if a world record holder and soon to be certified LOUDEST MAN in the world swears by them you do the math....Alan Dante would be the guy to get ahold of on these, as far as doing their power they are UNDERRATED from all test done on them....

Read that thread. Their 7kw amp is only .9 up from a XX Goliath. If I was a betting man I would bet the new XXV Goliath is more powerful than their 7kw just due to the new design and it being much more efficient. If your looking for a amp that powerufl check out the XXVSamson. Here is the power test done with the new line of XXV line of amps.

Mono amps (......1-Ohm.........)

Model 14.4v 16v 17.8v

XXVThor 3000 4000 5000

XXVCyclops 4000 5100 6300

XXXGoliath 5000 6300 7600

XXVSampson 8000 8900 10,200

XXVMaxximus

2 Channel amps

XXVColossus

14v: 2 x 1600 @ 1-Ohm / 1 x 3200 @ 2-Ohms

16v: 2 x 1900 @ 1-Ohm / 1 x 3800 @ 2-Ohms

XXMaxximus

14v: 2 x 5000 @ 1-Ohm / 1 x 10,000 @ 2-Ohms

16v: 2 x 6300 @ 1-Ohm / 1 x 12,600 @ 2-Ohms

17.8v: 2 x 7600 @ 1-Ohm/1 x 15,200 @ 2-Ohms

And look who its coming from.....LOL whats the cost on the Goliath? How effiecent is the Goliath how many batteries will it take to get that power from the Goliath? How long is the Goliath name me another amp thats 25inches or less that does 7k+ in power at 13.8vlts? Will the Goliath even run at 11.2 volts? Bottom line both seem to be POWERFUL amps, but it depends the cost and such for certain people, again you can never say amp 1 is better then amp 2 because this this and that, its mainly install dependant...

Well you take the length of the goliath and the length of the stetsom and you can see who the stetsom would appeal to CRX users, I agree they both are powerful, but also at .9 thats almost a DB louder and thats win or lose, plus again not being on team maxxsonics we cant get the goliath anywhere near the price of the stetsom unless the goliath is nor 1100$ shipped.

I understand size is a factor for a lot of competitors. But if the 7kw amp is only doing .9 louder than a 5kw amp why not label it a 5kw amp. If he wants to do a compariosn to a smaller amp why not do it to the XXV Goliath and see what happens.

You would need 10kw to be up 3dB from 5kw even in theory. You should be up about 1.2 dB ideally going from 5kw to 7kw... so where is the complaint about gaining 0.9 dB in the real world? Seems like a very solid gain that fits the power increase darn near on the dot.
