How much power at what ohm load are you looking for? If i still have this amp once my car gets fixed, i'd like to buy a clamp or at least find someone closer than DBDesigns to do power testing with (Alex is a great guy to deal with, right outside atlanta.)

if you sold both the sundown and the stetsom you could... i'd like to run around 4000 at .5 ohm if possible because my sub is quad 1.5 :/
First of all, a Quad 1.5 ohm sub can be wired to 0.375, 1.5, or 6 ohm. So you'd be running that IA down to a very low ohm load for a daily application. You'd be better going with 2 IA 20.1s strapped at 1.5 ohm, since the 3600 from them would be at 2 ohm instead of 1 ohm.

It'll be tough to find an amp to put out 4kw+ daily at 0.375 ohm without burning up. It'll also be expensive to find an amp to run at 1.5 while putting out over 4kw. So good luck on that one.

im sure the ia will do over 4000 at .5 ohm
Me too, but his application won't run at 0.5 ohm.

i didn't plan on running it at .5 i just wanted it to do 4000 at .5 so it would run closer to 4000 at 1.5 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif but yeah, i already have the ia40.1 so its whatever.

You probably would be best off running it off of 2 ia20.1s or saz-1500s, as he said you'd be able to run it at 1.5 and would still be incredibly efficient, assuming the IAs are as efficient as the sundowns.

If you have money burning a whole in your pocket, buy another 40.1 and strap it to 6 for daily, and 1.5 for destroying unreinforced objects.

(Edit: I was told about modding these amps to gain a nice amount of power.. I'll see if i can find more information about that, I couldnt see it holding a .375 ohm load for daily, but who knows whats do-able at 1.5 since these amps are technically rated at 2, although i ran it at a 1 ohm load for the week i used it.)

Anyone know normal insurance cost on shipping? I found on UPS.com something saying .50 cents for every 100 dollars of declared value, and that seemed pretty low. Can anyone confirm that for me or correct it? For shipping on this puppy, so far i was quoted 28-33 fedex-ups from the deep southern parts of florida, to god knows where in ontario canada. Not bad as long as insurance isnt along the same price

As for above, maybe a DD Z1 would be powerful enough to give you what you want.. Potential buyer got a deal on a DD Z1 on ROE i believe, but im looking for cash although open to trades. Working on mids and highs, Oz Audio CS380 Component System or a Sundown 3k are better than cash to me
