anyone run one at .5 load?

We tried and put it into protect, but we have found that the 2400 Batt is bad so maybe that was the problem?

thoughts????

It will run down that low for burps. You may need to roll the volume.

Everyone is correct. This is a 2ohms amp so .5 is way to low for music. It'll do .5ohms for spl burps and depending on impedance rise may need volume to be rolled. If you're looking for more power at 2ohms then look at the new 4k2d. I've tested the 4k2d at 2ohms and it will do more power than the 2k6d will do at .5ohms.

LOL, that's funny. But for comps at .5 should be good. And if you keep going into protect even with volume rolled you're impedance rise may be to low so you'll have to get different subs so the amp can be run at .7 or 1ohms for burps. Or make a smaller box with your current set up and your impedance rise will go higher too.

We run it at .5 today, With a roll of the Knob we got 145.9 and a Current Draw into the Amp of over 400, Meter goes to 400 and then "OL"

Wired at 2 we were getting 145.0 to 145.5

Tomorrow or Thursday we are going to try two Extatic Bats and a Memphis 4KW.

To only gain .4 something is wrong. It should be more like 1.4db. What battery you running and what size wire you going into the amp?

Kinetic 1800 under the hood and 2400 in the back. Memphis 0 to the amp and in between.
